Camera input is not cancelled by gamepad cursor on Xbox

Enabling the gamepad cursor while the right thumbstick is held leaves the camera spinning indefinitely. It does not stop when the stick is released - only when the gamepad cursor is disabled.

Repro:

  1. With gamepad connected, hold the right thumbstick to rotate the camera
  2. Whilst still holding the thumbstick, call GamepadService:EnableGamepadCursor(nil) (my game does this when a menu opens)
  3. Release the thumbstick

Expected behavior:
The camera stops rotating when the stick is released.

Actual behavior:
The camera keeps rotating at the last speed and direction for as long as the cursor is enabled, then stops on DisableGamepadCursor().

Notes:
One fix I tried was calling ResetInputStates() in the PlayerModule’s active camera controller, which did not resolve the issue.

Hello!

Thank you for the report! This issue should be fixed in the new version of PlayerScripts which you can opt into with Workspace.PlayerScriptsUseInputActionSystem. I will mark this as a duplicate of Virtual Cursor keeps camera moving when activating while moving camera, please let me know if you find any additional related issues there!
