Camera tilting up and down while zooming / scrolling

Hello, I’ve recently came across an issue that causes the camera to tilt up and down, similarly to the Page up and Page down keys, whenever I’m scrolling / zooming in-game. I’ve seen this “bug” in another forum, although the solution didn’t seem to help and this issue continues to happen whenever I play an experience. Note that it only seems to occur in R6 but not in Roblox Studio for some reasons (I’ve tried replicating it in a R6-only experience in Studio without it taking place). I reinstalled Roblox multiple times, rebooted my PC and tried anything to solve this issue but nothing works, so if anyone knows a way to fix this it’d be very much appreciated!

Demonstration of the bug in question:

Here the issue does not happen in Roblox Studio:

Bump, I have the same issue but none of my friends have this issue.

I have tried:

  • uninstalling Roblox
  • deleting all temp files then reinstalling
  • changing to every camera setting a million times over

** Still no fixes found.**

Edit for further context: This issue ONLY occurred yesterday and today, 7/16/2026 - 7/17/2026

  • I am using Windows 10 on a desktop computer
  • I have a standard Microsoft mouse

I couldn’t understand the issue properly. Is it that when you get into first person, it is stuck or is it something else? Can you please elaborate further? Try to explain it with steps and words because most of the time so called “issues” solves themselves when explained step-by-step.

However, if it is what I thought above it is an experience setting for “some” players or it is because of your roblox settings. As you might now, roblox studio and roblox player won’t share the settings.

Hi, I just joined a game to demonstrate this issue for you; this is me zooming in/out with middle mouse scroll not moving my mouse:

My camera settings simply do not affect this issue:

Hi there, what kind of mouse are you using?

Hi, I just demonstrated the issue above with my settings; I am using the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000. I am still able to normally zoom in/out using the o and i keys, however, the zoom has the horrible issue I showed in the video above which I did not have before 7/15/2026.

Thanks for the quick follow up, this is quite likely related to some changes for touchpad behavior on windows mistaking your mouse’s scroll wheel for the “scroll gesture” of a touchpad. We’re reverting that configuration change now so sit tight and your issue will be resolved shortly.

Hello, the issue I showed in my post was done using a Logitech M650 L but I’ve also tried with an optical office mouse with the same issue happening. Just like temporaryacount101, none of my in-game settings affected this problem but I could still zoom in and out normally unlike them with the tilting still occuring. Fortunately the issue seems to have been fixed (for me atleast), huge thanks and sorry for responding a bit late!

Edit: This is the post I was previously referring to (last example): Roblox camera moves in unnatural way; turning camera and zooming in/out with scroll wheel causes bug

Thanks for following up, it’s really useful to catalog all of the mice that behave a bit different so that we can test against them in the future. I’m glad it’s fixed for you now, and yes you’re right this issue was caused by the same feature that caused the post you were referring to.
