I’m thinking about creating a game that encourages people to watch specific tv shows and movies on different streaming platforms. However, it’s not clear to me if this breaks the Community Rules.
In the Community Rules it says:
Don’t build a game or experience that encourages (or redirects) users to go off Roblox
and
Offsite website links, services, and additional 3rd party content are not permitted on Roblox with the following exceptions: YouTube, Facebook, Discord, Twitter, Twitch (and such other links that Roblox may subsequently permit)
and
encouraging users to go to unpermitted offsite links, content, or services is also not allowed.
Yet, the Wonder Woman game was created in partnership with Roblox (I think) and promotes navigating to a non-permitted website (i.e. HBO Max) to watch the movie. In the game’s description, it says: “See Wonder Woman 1984 in theaters and on HBO Max December 25th.”
I know there have been similar scenarios like with Ready Player Two, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and others.
Does this mean I’m allowed to say, “Watch [show/movie] on [streaming service],” in my game? What about something similar like “Visit [streaming service] to watch [show/movie]?”
