So, I want to say a theoretical situation, let’s say I create a Game that is like PAC-Man, but a lot like it, could I get DMCA reported for that? I’m asking as I’ve seen a Game that is like that (it has different maps, you can be the ghost and PAC-Man doesn’t look like him) called PAC-Blox, and I’m not sure if this would be against the ToS, also if someone was to use the Tetris pieces would he get DMCA reported? I’m just curious
As long as you dont use the same stuff as pacman(names like “pacman”, ghost should be fine however.) And you also dont use assets from pacman, like the ghost gifs. However you could make something similar and get away with it under fair use due to it being a Parody. You should be fine.
Okay, so I have a question, how did PAC-Blox didn’t get DMCA banned? Is it because they used only PAC? Also for ghosts it was pretty obvious as it is a word used everyday, you can’t own copyright on it (imagine if someone did 
)

Pac blox would be classified as a parody of Pacman under fair use. Therefore if Pacman took the game down, you could counter-sue them for thousands if not millions.

Okay thanks then! I’m very happy of hearing this! So now I know I can take basically other Games, for example Fortnite and make some sort of ‘parody’ of it and it will not get DMCA banned! Thanks for answering!
