If so, what types of scams and to what degree or situation can a scam get someone kicked?
Fairly certain a couple of people have gotten kicked out of here before for scamming. It’s really a case-by-case basis though. If it’s not that severe and it’s more of a joke then probably not. If you tell us what they did (doesn’t have to specifically state which place/person etc) then we might be able to get a better idea.
These things may better be described as highly disreputable, if scamming is too intense of a term. Either way, a person involved in such things shouldn’t be allowed in RbxDev in my opinion. This is basically the situation: 1. The person involved took a game someone made and published it, and set it uncopylocked for anyone to take, a disreputable move, and for no good or justified reason at all. 2. The person claimed in the description of the place he published (which was getting substantial exposure to the public) that he made the game. Which he did not. This soils reputation for the real creator. 3. The person claims in the description that the original creator stole it from him. That also causes mal-reputation for the real creator. I’m aware this all sounds like a common dramatic controversial situation found on Roblox, but If I can explain the actual situation with names, I can provide more evidence, and clear reasons as to why the person involved should not be in RbxDev. Sorry if this is not the place to talk about it. If it isn’t, if I can talk directly to a moderator instead, I’d appreciate it.
A guy got kicked out of here for sending a spiteful PM to a competitor as soon as he was added, so I have no doubt that stealing, uncopylocking, and claiming a game was his (a far worse offense) would be met with similar punishment.
Try PMing one of the staff members on here (pretty sure Khanovich, Urist, and Becky are the ones who handle moderation of the forums the most), but I don’t know if they check their PMs on here since it’s such an obscure little notification that you can barely see. If you don’t get a response, try reporting one of his posts, describe what happened, and tell them everything else you know. They’re really good at staying on top of RBXDev reports, so they should see the report. Only report it though if you can’t get in contact with them through PMs.
CodeWriter is also a good choice.
