Can terminated users still post on the devforum if they haven't signed out?

Sorry if this is the wrong category.

Are terminated users able to post on the devforum if they haven’t signed out? Still wondering.

Ok I can’t provide an answer with any sort of clarity but,

I believe I’ve seen some people banned from roblox screw ups, such as the sound bug, try and publicly appeal their bans in threads, however I’m not 100% sure on that.

AFAIK people are still able to post on the forum even though they have been terminated on roblox.com, this is providing people are still logged in. If you log out you wont be able to post anymore as you are required to sign into roblox.com to sign into the forum.

This forum software Roblox uses is discourse and from my knowledge the only way to stop people from posting is by reducing their trust level or suspending their forum account.

Ideally they would log out the user on Discourse when they are terminated but this currently doesn’t happen. If you see anyone posting that is terminated just message DevEngagementTeam a ping, or flag a post of the user with that as flag note, and they can resolve it.

Terminated users should use Support to appeal so they have no business using the forum while they are terminated.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t Discourse’s SSO/OAuth functionality allows you to ‘poll’ the identity provider for changes? (e.g. account being disabled).

It could be setup so that when your password is changed, account disabled, etc. you are automatically logged out of the forum for security reasons?

The forum is not a place for you to appeal your ban. As buildthomas said, terminated users have no place on the forums.

I never said it was, I was saying I had seen people appeal a ban here.

Roblox doesn’t support oauth right now, they only have saml (this is what the forum uses), so that doesn’t seem feasible for now.

Yes they can. I have seen someone post on the devforums before who actually had their account deleted, and they were still able to post on the forums.
