On the homepage, no matter my monitor settings, it is very hard to see the number of players online. It’s perfectly fine on the games page.
This doesn’t illustrate as well as I hoped but…

I don’t mean to “bump” this, but I honestly believe this is an issue that should be resolved. The text on the “Games” page is clearly more visible than this on the “Home” page. This would be an easy fix, and it would improve the overall look of the page we see every time when we log in.
Maybe im weird but it looks fine to me.
Then again I do have an IPS monitor so I suppose making it a little bit darker couldn’t hurt and wouldn’t take much effort.
It’s pretty bad when I have to shift my head to be able to see the text
The idea is probably it’s not supposed to draw too much attention to how many people are online a game that you recently played. As long as there’s more than 0, the player may see that and want to play it again.
top (recently played)
bottom (games page) Where it matters a bit more how many are online
There are doing a complete overhaul of the website, and the home page’s games will look the same as the Games page does, with the icons, which is probably why they haven’t changed it on the current page since they’re working on replacing that part completely.

I don’t see how the number of players is any less important on one page than another. Even so, importance shouldn’t determine the clarity of something. It should at least be visible.

Where I originally saw it was Square icons + Widescreen Thumbnails, but I also heard about it at RDC East at one of the sessions.
