Cannot open place [72971051024673] - "Failed to fetch place info" error

Expected behavior

  • When attempting to open the place (ID: 72971051024673), I expect Roblox Studio to successfully connect to the servers, fetch the required place information, and fully load the game environment into the workspace so that I can begin editing.

I’ve also been experiencing this error since yesterday for ALL places including roblox’s template places, mainly trying to open place [87831261347193]

P.S. I’m still able to open .rbxl files and edit them

Having the same issue! It’s happening to all of my places; I also can’t play them either?

Is roblox just beyond saving at this point?

  • Can confirm this is happening on my end too, even with default templates. Definitely seems like a cloud-side issue rather than a local place corrupting?

This happens with all of the studio files I’ve been trying to open. In general over the past day, studio was struggling to fetch assets and load them.

I found a temporary fix for it. Logging out of studio and logging back in worked for me.
