Cannot Publish Package to the Creator Store

Unable to Distribute Package on Creator Store (“User is not authorized to distribute packages”)

Description

I’m trying to publish my package to the Roblox Creator Store so it can be used publicly by everyone. However, when I enable “Distribute on Creator Store”, I receive the following error:

Not distributed on Creator Store
User is not authorized to distribute packages. For planned package distribution updates, see the Creator Roadmap.

As a result, I’m unable to publish my package publicly.

Expected Behavior

I should be able to enable “Distribute on Creator Store” and publish my package for public use.

Actual Behavior

The toggle cannot be enabled, and the following error is displayed:

User is not authorized to distribute packages.

Questions

  • Is Creator Store package distribution currently limited to certain creators?
  • Are there any eligibility requirements or permissions needed to distribute packages?
  • If so, how can I become authorized to distribute packages publicly?

What does the system offer than cant be achieved with just a looping sound instance, like niceshark showed in the screenshot

absolutely nothing!!

i was hoping for a backdoor or smt to deconstruct but all i got was a boring overcomplication of something that you can make by yourself without code in 10 seconds

I believe I’ve figured out the issue.

It appears that Roblox currently doesn’t allow creators to publicly distribute packages unless they’re published by Roblox itself (or otherwise specifically authorized). That explains why I was receiving the “not authorized” error when trying to distribute my package to everyone.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to read and respond!

(you can very easily tell this wasn’t originally a bug report lmao)
