It is not possible to update the cost or description of a developer product without also changing the products name. Pressing the update button without changing the product name will result in an error message, ‘Developer Product with the same name already exists’, and the changes being discarded.

Hi, thanks for reporting. We’re working on a fix.
In the meantime, renaming the product then renaming it back to what it was before works.
