Can't Login to Studio By Launching From Website

When I click Edit on a game on the website while logged in, Studio no longer authenticates automatically. I get this pop-up instead:

Expected behavior

I should be logged in automatically.

This happens for you every time? I just launched a “Edit in Studio” from Creator Hub and it worked as expected. Have you tried both the “Login via Browser” and “Login via Studio” options?

To be clear, the issue is not that I lose my login status when I close studio - the issue is that when I’m not logged into Studio, opening Studio from the website does not log me in automatically like it used to. I don’t want to use the login via browser/login via studio options because I would still have to reauthenticate, which I was trying to avoid since I didn’t have my phone on me for auth codes.

Also I just tried the Login via Studio and every time I do, I get this error:

I think this error occurs when it can’t load WebView. Have you done anything to your Windows installation recently? You can try downloading the “Evergreen Installer” from the Microsoft website to see if that fixes the error:

Studio should install WebView automatically during it’s own installation process, so you can try re-installing Studio as well.

We are also suspecting some sort of local permissions changed with a recent Windows update. So far, any other reported cases recently did a Windows update and there’s some security change with the local storage we use.

We are trying to root cause it for a proper fix but a couple people have reported running in admin mode resolves it. If you try this, please let us know the result.
