Cartoony UGC rendering all black?

Hello Developers,

I just started using blender to render roblox avatars. I was rendering an avatar, when I saw this happen:

It appears that cartoony UGC render as all black. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it, so it renders correctly? Thank you so much!

Hey there. Just a little background knowledge, there are vertices, faces and edges in a object. When we sometimes import things from roblox studio as obj, and use a 3rd part software such as Blender, Cinema 4d, those applications don’t understand the texture files which was imported when roblox exported it. To fix this, you would need to do UV editing, you can search this up. After you see a video and understand the general context of it, you’ll see on what I am talking about.

Could you explain a bit more, I watched a video, but it didn’t help show me how I can remove the outer black layer.

Do you have discord? I can show it you there. If so, add me ther Jack#9646.
