Hello, I am experiencing a severe catalog indexing/caching bug that has completely shadowbanned my UGC group from the Marketplace search and Discover page.
Step-by-step of what happened:
On April 17th-18th, my item “[Y2K] Frost Clout Goggles” experienced a massive spike in organic sales.
I performed a minor metadata/description update on the item.
Immediately after the update, the item’s impressions and sales flatlined to absolute ZERO.
This bug has now affected my ENTIRE group catalog. Newly uploaded items from this week are also not appearing in the “Recently Created” tab or in standard Marketplace searches.

Expected behavior
I expect my UGC items to appear in normal catalog searches, Discover feeds, and the “Recently Created” tab based on their tags and upload dates. They should be organically visible to users without requiring them to search for my exact username.
Adding more data to this report: I’ve attached a screenshot from my Creator Dashboard analytics for the group’s top-performing assets.
As seen in the graph, there was a healthy spike in organic impressions and sales around April 17-18. However, immediately after a minor metadata update (title/description), the impressions flatlined to zero across the entire catalog and haven’t recovered since. This suggests that the indexing failure is directly tied to the metadata update action, effectively removing the items from the search algorithm entirely.
This is a critical issue as it prevents creators from optimizing their listings without risking total loss of visibility.
Thank you for the report. We have assigned to our team for review.
Thank you so much for the update! I really appreciate the team taking a look into this.
Please let me know if you need any further data or specific asset IDs to help with the investigation. Looking forward to hearing from you once it’s resolved!
Just a quick follow-up: Is there any estimated timeframe for a fix or an update on this?
I’ve previously submitted two support tickets regarding this issue but haven’t received a response from those channels yet. Since our group’s organic growth is currently halted due to this indexing bug, any information on when we might expect a resolution would be extremely helpful. Thank you!
@starhiker13 Just to provide more context for the team: I’ve analyzed my analytics and found a 2-hour indexing delay.
The item sells normally for about 2 hours after a metadata change (likely while the old cache is active), but then it’s completely blackholed from the search engine as soon as the re-indexing completes. This confirms it’s a handshake bug between the update and the live index.
Sorry but I still waiting. have you some update about my situation?
Hello, just checking in on this issue.
It has been 11 days since this bug was forwarded to the internal team. Unfortunately, the issue persists and my entire UGC group catalog remains completely unindexed from the Marketplace search, reducing our organic impressions to zero.
I also received an email from standard Roblox Support today redirecting me back here to the DevForum for a resolution.
Is there any update, ETA, or any additional information I can provide to help the engineers fix this indexing/caching bug for my group? Thank you for the support!
Thanks for raising this. We’ve reviewed the items you referenced and confirmed they are being surfaced on the search page as expected. At this time, we’re not seeing any issues affecting their visibility.
Okay, so explain to me why NONE of my items are for sale, none of them sell.
The graph above just proves my initial point, when my item becomes visible to people it sells itself, the problem is that it’s not showing up for my customers. It doesn’t matter if you say you found it, everyone works with proof. I showed that when my item has visibility it sells, and so far you guys haven’t proven that my item has the visibility you said it has.
