Hello everyone! I have been working on some models for a cave update that I intend to bring to my game. I have done all of these models a while ago, but I just thought I should share them with everyone. I also have a fully built set of what I intend the caves to look like. I will also explain to each model as I show them to you. Feedback on how I could improve these models would be very appreciated.
Anyway, here are the models:
These pickaxes were the first models I made for the update. I’m considering making the pickaxe on the left a tool you can buy from the caving shop. The one on the right is for decoration in the caves.
(This one is just for scale)These stalagmites are supposed to be a decoration for the caves. I can also put a particle effect in them that makes it look like it’s dripping. There is also the stalactite version, which is just the stalagmite but turned around.
This model is another decoration intended to go in the corners of the caves. They are supposed to be crystals, and you can see how they’re supposed to be embedded in the rock. Feedback on how I could make these better would help a lot because I’ll admit they are really bland.
This model is going to be used for climbing up to other parts of the caves, but I was also thinking of adding vines to get to secret places. Nothing much to note about this. At last, this was the preview I made for the cave update. I used some assets from the toolbox, such as the small rocks, the lantern, and the vines. I made the crystals glow by adding a colored spotlight beneath them, which is what I intend to do in the actual update. It took me about 10 hours to put this together. (which seems pretty pathetic.)
So, these were all my models, (so far) and I incorporated them into what they would look like being used in my caves. I intend for all caves to be artificial. (Not made with the terrain editor) The caves are probably going to be used for the players to find Camp Coins, which they can use to buy things. Anyway, that’s all. Remember that feedback is appreciated.
