Celeste 2 Patch Notes 3/10/2020

Private Servers

As per the most recent Admiralty vote, Private Servers have been introduced to Celeste 2 (though not in the standard sense - please continue reading below)

In general, Private Servers for forts tend to be open for any clan to purchase/use, effectively allowing you to use the fort as a training grounds without actually having to officially raid said clan’s fort. Generally we are opposed to this (our stance on this might be changed later), which is why we have hesitated with implementing Private Servers for our fort, however our idea is to essentially use Private Servers for Defense Trainings held in GUF.

Here is how Private Servers have been scripted:

  • Anyone can ‘buy’ a Private Server (we can’t physically prevent certain people from buying them) for free
  • If the Private Server is owned by someone not ranked Vindicator+ in GUF, anytime a player tries to join, they (including the Private Server owner) will be kicked
  • The Private Server owner (assuming they’re ranked Vindicator+) will be given owner admin via Scripth’s admin script (everyone else will still have the same admin levels as normal)
  • The Defense Bot Notifier script will be disabled in all Private Servers (prevents us from setting it off ourselves)

Benefits of using Private Servers for DTs:

  • Promote more defense trainings (which we need more of anyways) at our own base
  • Prevents us from getting flooded while in the middle of a defense training (clans that want to raid us might turn away if they see the server already has players in it)
  • Updating one place is easier than having to transfer future Celeste II updates to two separate places (i.e. the alternative to using Private Servers for DTs, if not using the current Celeste II, is to copy Celeste II to a separate place)

If you have any questions about this change, forward your inquiries to me

Other Miscellaneous Updates

  • Fixed CFrame issue in the Domino’s Teleporter room (as pointed out by runesman181)
  • Defender win music is no longer unbearably loud during a specific segment (I made an oopsy before and instead of changing volume to “0.40” I changed it to “40” :3)
  • Changed the Terminal Start Music (surprise)

As always, please report any and all bugs associated with Celeste II in the bugs channel, or if you have any suggestions to improve the fort at all, they may be forwarded to the suggestions channel.
