Certain Parts/Unions randomly lose all ability to be Deleted, Duplicated, Unioned, or separated from unions (But can still be moved)

This issue happens randomly to parts without any seeming reason. This part is a union made of multiple other unions, but it has happened to normal parts alongside unions. I can still move the part, but I cannot do anything else to it. Sometimes, if I’m lucky, It randomly stops happening. When I encounter it, I try to select “Fresh” parts that have just been inserted and sometimes that works to stop it. However, it is very random on when it works and I usually have to try multiple combinations of selected parts to try and get it to works. Sometimes, it is only union and intersect that are grayed out, and I have to negate the selection twice before I can union it.

In terms of beta features, I only have Next Gen Explorer, Live Animation creator, incremental type checking, and haptic effects.

This happened to me too, when i selected multiple models, they lose it too

Yep, same issue has been happening here for nearly a week now. I can still move, rotate, scale, models/parts/unions, and so on, but I loose the ability to do all other functions, I find that sometimes it can be fixed by inserting a part, repeating the function that you originally wanted to do on the locked asset on the part, and sometimes it unlocks Studio and you can carry on, otherwise, you have to quit the session and rejoin. It’s extremely frustrating at times.

Been out for a couple of months, just opened up studio for the first time in those months to work on an old project, and have been experiencing this bug nonstop. I constantly have to restart studio.

This bug is extremely annoying, I hope this issue will be fixed in the next studio weekly update and is addressed by the admins since it is taking a while just to re-open studio or find wacky combinations to re-enable union abilities.

I too have this issue - Very annoying! Hope it is fixed soon.

I have noticed that this will begin occuring if you had non-uniformly scaled union selected/created before.

It’s happening a lot, more than I would like to the point that is disrupting my development. The way to fix it is to select other objects around and after two tries it kind of fixes, but then it happens again.

I constantly use the Ctrl + D, to duplicate objects, and I end up moving the camera to the right instead. I am also unable to rotate it using Ctrl + R or even cancel the object’s selection using ESC, it just stays in the explorer selected. (Does not happen just with the keyboard keys)


My only betas enabled are:

  1. Dragger QoL Improvements.
  2. Haptic Effects.
  3. Live Animation Creator.

Has been happening I believe for more than a week already, or more.

It’s usually temporary, but to reproduce this issue from what i’ve experienced, there really is no definitive way to reproduce, it just happens randomy. This happens on the latest version of Roblox Studio and if you insert some parts, resize them, union some you will come across this issue sometime
