Change the lock icon in Studio

Staff please read this. This is a big QOL suggestion for studio, but if there is a way to revert this back to its old version it would be extremely helpful.

So roblox made a UI update, this is one I am very displeased about. Take a look at the old lock vs the new lock images.

I dont think it was a good idea to make the lock image not lock/unlock, its just a permanent image of a locked lock.

What we need is the centre reticle to not change, infact if it stays as the + rather than the x, and then the lock actually locks/unlocks, it will be MUCH easier to visually see if it is locked/unlocked.

you can just replace the image In your files if you want to change them as a temporary fix.

this is really annoying as I click it like 3 times before realizing the lock is static.

Where would I need to go in the files to change it? I cant find it

Long Answer

(I’m using 2017 logic, so this wont work if they ever changed the names of the files)
to change it, go to your Roblox studio installation folder by right clicking the studio shortcut on the desktop, then go into the contents folder, then textures. then you can search for “LockCursor.png” and “UnlockCursor.png” inside (incase you cant find them, they may be in other folders, just use a filter search for “lock” if you need to), once you do, you can drag over the images of your choice (preferably the same resolution), rename the existing cursors lockold1 and lockold2, then rename the custom images “LockCursor.png” and “UnlockCursor.png” and then put it in the same folder as the original lock cursor images, when you open up studio now, you should now see the old ones.
