Changing color of "non-body" character parts using Body Colors

not sure this is the right forum, but alright. what would be the best way for me to change the colors of the “outer” part of the ears?

i can currenctly change all colors of the “bunny”? using the Body Colors instance, but not the ears.

this is the structure of the character.

Just select outside part for the right and left ear and change it’s color
