I didn’t know where else to put this
I’m making a speed run game. Everything is fine so far, except for the fact that often when somebody dies their character’s body parts are flung into the void outside of the mini skybox at super high speeds, I have no idea what could be causing this
How are you altering the player’s speed?
As is usual with these kinds of games there’s a part at the start of each stage that changes their walkspeed
That’s normal, the faster the player the more force will be applied upon death. If you don’t want that to happen you can change the gravity when the local player dies. Make sure it’s on the client side or it’ll effect everyone’s gravity.
gravity? What would changing their gravity do?
I think it would change how fast the parts would fling but I’ve never dealt with workspace.Gravity so I might be wrong.
Stupid physics keeps gutting and ignoring the hip-height for some reason. I don’t know exactly what causes it but try layering a part underneath the surface to “catch” it, at least with 1 stud depth.
