Character model OBJ exports don't have hair on the texture like it used to. Did something change?

A couple years back I exported a character as an OBJ to turn her into a smear frame for a fight animation. Now I’m using what (I think) is the same method to turn some characters into props for import into a RP game with BTools but I’m finding the meshes are not cooperating, and not exporting with hair textures.

I’ve found the hair textures are being exported as a separate texture which, unless there is a way for me to combine them on the same mesh part, doesn’t help me in the slightest.

This is the texture I spoke of before, as you can see the hair is included at the bottom of the image:

This is what I’ve been getting today from every character I try to export with hair on. No hair:

Any tips or information is appreciated. I’m not averse to opening up Blender it’s just not something I have a lot of practice with, but if someone knows of a step by step guide to resolve my issue I would be incredibly grateful.

I’m not too familiar with blender either, but maybe you can try exporting the character as a glTF rather than OBJ. I know that glTF supports multiple objects unlike OBJ, so maybe that will help with the whole separate textures thing.
