Hello, roamers of the forum!
I have been finishing up a little demo of a game concept I thought up yesterday. Now, I don’t know if it’s worth working on, so I’ll turn over to everyone here at the forum for some feedback.
The game is an obby, but with a catch. Typically, obbies are static and every platform is laid out for you. But what if you could just make your own path instead? Well, that is what you can do in this game!
Using the keyboard, you can control a little platform called the Semi-Transparent Part Stamper (TPS for short), which can create new platforms for you while avoiding obstacles. You might ask yourself, isn’t it just an obby where the developer was too lazy to make anything else but the obstacles themselves? For that I say…
well played. But that was not my initial intention, I was just messing around with the userInputSerivce when I thought of this idea lol
In the demo, there are three mini-levels you must go through. Although small and simple (and not very clever), they are designed to show the basic functions of what a TPS can do, along with the limitations it brings.
Now, I’ll cut the sales pitch talk, and give you the link to the game:
(Note: Game only supports computer)
(Note x2: Gui is unscaled and might look off, there is nothing I can do cause I suck at guis)
(Note x3: Read the desc if you are interested in backstory)
Here are some low-quality screenshots (there is not much to show, but it helps people who are just looking through this post)
If you guys are just passing by, here is a playthrough:
So, I hope you enjoy this little demo. Comments and feedback are highly appreciated! Thank you for taking the time to read this post.
