Cloning parts when dashing

I want to leave transparent copies of my character when I dash.

I tried cloning the parts but nothing happens.

I can’t find anything anywhere about this.

perhaps your cloning them wrong, mind showing how?

Im not sure. But i think roblox characters are not meshparts. Maybe try making a clone of the user model, copy move them inside a folder with an effect and then clone them on the workspace for the dash.

Im not a professional tough, better responses may appear.

It’s best if you search v:IsA("BasePart") and then you add them to the debris service so they get cleared out - we don’t want tonnes of ghosts around

    if v:IsA("BasePart") then -- gets all of the characters parts.
          local clonedPart = v:Clone()
          clonedPart.Parent = workspace -- I recommend changing this (this would just look ugly in the workspace)

         game.Debris:AddItem(clonedPart, 1) -- deletes part after 1 second. so it doesn't linger.
    end
