Senior Roblox Builder & 3D Modeler

Compensation: Equivalent of $35,000 USD/year paid in Robux at the standard DevEx rate (38¢ per 1,000 Robux).

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Roblox Builder & 3D Modeler to join our development team full-time.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience building for Roblox across multiple eras of the platform.

  • Strong understanding of both classic and modern Roblox building workflows.

  • Expertise in low-poly, mid-poly, and optimized game-ready assets.

  • Experience creating custom models, props, buildings, interiors, and environmental assets.

  • Strong texturing skills, including stylized and realistic approaches.

  • Deep knowledge of Roblox performance optimization:

    • Triangle budgets
    • Draw calls
    • Streaming
    • Asset memory management
    • Mobile optimization

  • Ability to maintain visual quality while meeting performance targets.

  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to design original environments and structures without extensive direction.

  • Experience working within a team environment and accepting feedback professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-quality environments, structures, and props.
  • Create optimized 3D models for use across our games.
  • Develop unique visual styles while maintaining consistency with project goals.
  • Collaborate with programmers, designers, and project leadership.
  • Identify and solve performance issues related to maps and assets.
  • Contribute creative ideas that improve gameplay and immersion.

You know how to create visually impressive experiences without sacrificing performance and can bring original ideas to the table rather than simply executing instructions.
