It’s a reoccurring issue that when I check the Development Discussion tab, it’s always full of people complaining about Roblox’s flaws, such as poor moderation. There are also topics such as How bad was your first code writing?, Write the post inefficient code possible, and there used to be a “Crash Roblox in the most creative way possible” which all are doing the opposite of what the devforum is for. These topics don’t educate people and are completely useless. It should be better known that Development Discussion is used to talk to people about what they’re currently creating, and possibly teach creators new tactics to complete tasks
the actual point of Development Discussion is for as it suggests from the title, discussing things related to development. Such as how things may affect your development (for instance, stuff regarding moderation can work in this category, the reason they get removed because there are already hundreds of them )
And in the case they dont educate you, such as the “How bad was your first code writing” they can also just engage users, which it does very well!
Anyhow other than that I completely agree with you, I think the moderators gave up moderating the poor moderation posts cause people are making so many, so I assume their waiting for things to die down a bit before they remove them again.
Thanks to you all for changing my understanding of development discussion. You guys are totally right that the code itself may not do great but it definitely teaches people what to not do. I will now close this topic
