The idea is good. The code looks solid. But some things are still a bit off.
To start off, you say the game is intended for very young players but there are some more “mature” elements in it (picture related).
I think surface guis need to be polished. Some maps have extreme color palettes (like this map where everything is dark and blue). Not sure the illumination is the greatest either.
I would like to add that the game does not make me feel very immersed in it. The rounds begin, end, and that repeats endlessly. I do not feel very rewarded for winning, nor too punished for losing.
That is all I can think of after 10 minutes of playing. The idea is good, but needs some small fixes here and there.
My honest opinion: Your gameplay is aimed towards younger children right? Even though some use robux to pay, reminding myself again this is under 6 category, how many kids do you think out there have the permission from adult to buy something? Second of all, I immediately got bored of the game, why? I feel like because of the non-cooperative nature of these kids, while you’ve made a game that needs cooperation between each other, that’s why your unfreeze gamepass is a hot sell. Adding that to the short-attention timespan of young children, they will leave the game after only around 10 mins of gameplay. Most roblox players that would play longer are usually more mature children (above 10), that would really invest their times on the game, while this game has nothing to invest on on the first place in hindsight.
The reason no one buys ice is because it is overpriced as hecc. 0.25-0.35 isn’t the worst, but seeing as how much everything costs, it is pretty bad. Another dishonorable thing I find is the use of HD admin. I suggest scripting your own commands. HD is only ok, at least in my opinion, in games that get around 100 or less concurrent players. Better monetization strategies, and the reason the unfreeze yourself product gets so much, is because it’s more in your face. Maybe put some more stuff in your face, like when a new round starts, have the double tagger chance appear, or when you get xp at the end of a round ask if the player wants to double it with the double xp product. Don’t have it be a popup, rather something more on the side that’s still noticeable. The ice itself, in my opinion, looks pretty poorly drawn, and could look a bit more friendly, especially as you want kids to have it.
I’m going to be genuinely honest and straight to the point.
It is too complicated and quite boring. The game has so many things you have to do and press. It is complicated for the literal toddler audience you are going for. Also, expecting monetisation from such a simple concept is quite ambitious as there is no way to really monetise rather than
- Wow! Pet that follows you!
- Wow! Colour behind your back!
- Wow! Run faster from scary minion!
Also, the game is an infringement on Intellectual Property which is an issue too and many developers would be quite disappointed in you 1, monetising a property that isn’t yours and 2, predatory monetisation practises on children under the age of 8.
The games build… It has way too many parts to focus on for a small child, its not bright enough, and its unappealing to look at. The ui is dull, and inconsistent. Everything else is fine! I like the simplicity of the ui, it just needs a better color scheme. The builds are good ideas but, need to be simplified a bit, and the coloring/materealizing is not too well. Good game, wish you the best of luck! If you need anything else id be happy to test!
Monetising isn’t predatory but earning coins in the game but the shop goes straight to game passes is. This might seem like it is easy to distinguish to you but to a young child they think that it uses in game coins and boom, the child just spent $3 on some rainbow. It is wrong. Also, you completely ignored my point that you are severely infringing Illumination Pictures intellectual property. And they wouldn’t take lightly to the fact you are basically using a game concept too (Minion Rush).
