*About Us
Hello There! We are Aureus Studios and we are looking for a very skilled scripter to help us build our new game: Christmas Simulator.
The Team @Valkedd - UI - 30% - Project owner, also doing some building and manager. @Realscitty - Builder - 25%
@ To be hired - Scripter -45%
About The Job
We need a scripter capable of doing almost everything. Since our simulator will be built better than any other. It will consist of some simulator systems like daily rewards, backpack and pet shop, a particle shop, etc.
We are looking for someone that will respect one and other.
Payment
We are giving 35% and a 10k Robux guarantee if the game goes badly.
Nothing has been started yet but we have a lot of time until the month of December to rethink everything and come up with new ideas.
Honestly, taking in count the job that a high level scripter is supposed to do, the percentage should be higher than 15%.
Now, working on a simulator would definitely need a lot of scripting and that’s definitely something that is harder or atleast as hard as making maps and building a whole simulator.
So i suggest you rising the percentage from 15% to atleast 30% and i’m sure many good scripters might approve this.
Other than that, i hope you’ll get a good scripter really soon !
At least 35%. You can’t be stealing that much money from the game if you did less work than the counterpart. Scripting is a very important part of your game and it can make or break it. Underpaying will not get you any skilled developers.
I wouldn’t do it for less than 50%. It is absolutely unheard of to have the UI designer earn over twice as much as the most skilled member doing the most demanding job. You should also include some more details and images/videos of what you’ve made so far.

Its already stated that nothing has been built.
30% is in no way fair. The scripter will be doing the bulk of the work and their work will be far more skilled, so getting 5% less than less significant members of the team is a huge insult and let down. Most of the time UI designers don’t even receive a %. Some programmers may be ok with this but I find it highly unlikely that anyone skilled will apply.
Edit: % has changed, still not interested below 50% so I will leave this alone
Yes, but once u finish ur UI, you’re essentially done. Scripting is what makes the game come to life, and it’s up to them to entice players with the game and update it. Being the project leader doesn’t make you deserve more percentage than those who’ll actually make your idea a reality.
Also, could you list the % of you and the builder @Valkedd , so we understand what’s happening.
Unless the ui designer is scripting the game’s Ui, they should NOT get 45%. Even if the ui designer is scripting the ui, that’s still not worth 45%. That’s insane. Scripters have a huge job and always deserve at least 45% to 60%.
Ui designers should make 15%, and game lead should maybe make an extra 5-10% but nothing more, that’s just not fair or how it works.
If you’re looking for someone professional and who can do their job well, the scripter should always earn the most.
Why have you retained 40% but given the builder only 15%? This seems a little bit unfair considering building is a much bigger and more skilled part of any game and I don’t think “project manager” justifies 25% extra.
But then you’re kinda using him as a tool. Regardless of whether he said he’s okay with only 15%, your cut of it is ridiculous. I get why you should get 5-10% for being the manager. Therefore, you’re valuing your UI at about 30-35% of the game. UI is not essential to a profiting game. There’s a reason that most of the time, UI is not given a percentage, but an upright payment, it’s one and done. Building and scripting require them to keep checking in the place, and update it. Scripters have the burden of having to do the updates, and any bug fixes. You’re getting 40% for:
Making a UI, assembling people, and letting the scripter do the hard stuff with the UI.
Please, rethink your % of the builder and and yourself. Greed will get you nowhere.
I disagree with this, I believe some roles are harder and more time consuming then others. I value the time and effort needed AND demand of the role, the system you just talked about is not the best way to handle a projects earnings. Someone who makes GFX gets the same as someone who dedicates 200 hours to script a game, see my point?
