About Us

Hi there! We are OpenHouse Studios, a small upcoming game development team. We’re looking for Scripters, and UI/GUI Makers, OR BOTH IN ONE PERSON, who are willing to join our team and work with us on our new upcoming Spring Game.

About The Job

We are looking for professional Scripters and UI/GUI Designers (or both skills for one) to join our team for this project. We expect high quality entertainment that adhere to our game’s style. Good communication skills are appreciated; we check team progress daily and want to maintain a healthy relationship with one another.

Example of our game's build style

Our game is expected to release in the Spring, so there will be absolutely no rush on this project until the last month till release.

Things to Know

Scripting: You will be scripting the following:
Movies (TV)
Intercom
Admin Panel
Work Stations (Gamepasses, Game Sections, etc)
Kicker (GUI that teleports people to spawn. will explain more later)

Role Sets:

Visitor
Visits the game, watches films, etc.

Receptionist
Checks on the movies, experience, entertainment, manages the concession stand, etc.

Manager
This will sort of be an expensive gamepass (around 200R$+). Will also have access to concession stand, access to intercom, (activates every five minutes, to avoid mass abuse), will have flashlight, and can escort people out of the theatre for 30 seconds by using a GUI (3 minute cooldown), etc.

Payment

This will be an easy job for few Scripters, GUI, UI makers. Therefore, I will be paying 2000-4000 per person, or 20-40% each.

Out of curiosity how much is being put in for advertisements and/or sponsors?

Around 5k is going to ads. Sponsors, I’m not sure, maybe 3.5k.

3-5K won’t even get you partially good CPM. JUST saying… lol

Cost per impression. What basically makes your ad show up. Also, shoot me a DevForum DM I could help invest.

5k for ads, seems a bit low in my opinion.

Are you a minor? Is this person signing the contract a minor? Is it legally documented? Because contracts themselves aren’t usually binding, and definitely aren’t binding to minors.

I don’t ever recall mentioning contracts?

Do you accept assurances of skill and showing off half-finished plugins as a portfolio? :sweat_smile:

Jokes aside though, this is made fairly clear in your initial post but to clarify: Scripters can and will be seperate from designing and building?

Coming from what little experience I’ve had, smaller payouts result in a less productive worker which results in quantity given rather than quality.

I highly recommend increasing your budget to a minimum of at least $500. You can achieve that goal by working any local job in your area that you qualify for.
