[CLOSED] ThurianCity: Hiring a Scripter to finish the game

About the game

The game is about 75% done as far as building and UI Design goes and only around 25% for scripting. All these percentages are estimated for the Alpha Release of the game. The team was initially my friend and me, but he was learning to script as he was working and it proved to much for him as far as what I envisioned. As a result, I’m now looking for a scripter to finish what is left.

What is the job?

Someone that has the time and knowledge to finish coding the game. The systems that are left include but are not limited to E to Interact (similar to bloxburg), House ownership system, game pass, and dev product handler. You’ll work with the game’s assets in your place, all the UI’s will be provided so it’s just a scripting job.

The Game

If you’d like to visit the game, just contact me and I can walk you through our progress. But here are a few in-game screenshots:

Payment

40% of game’s revenue upon release. There’s a 10k backup payment, this will only be paid if the game never becomes released for some reason but you have completed your job. Or for some reason, you couldn’t complete your job because of an error on my part.

Contact

You can DM me through the Dev forums or my discord is Authurian#1239.

What would happen if the game fails? How do you pay the scripter back?

I’m sorry but 35% for all of this, it’s basically making the whole game! Can’t you go any higer?

Hello, I would be honored to finish your game! And I would be happy to do it for free, as long as you give me credit in the description! I’m not looking to get rich :moneybag: I am good at scripting GUI’s, and I’m an advanced Lua scripter :rainbow: Or I’d be happy to do it, if you set your price! Feel free to reply anytime :stuck_out_tongue: Sincerely, MrSavage261

The percentage should be higher. There’s a good chance the person who takes this on is going to need to re-script a lot of what’s there given the fact that the original scripter was learning. Moving forward is probably going to require logic, security, design and various platform compatibility he didn’t think or know about. Also, now you and the new scripter will be partners, so going forward after the game releases you’ll be relying on him/her for additional patches and updates.

Edit: UI and build looks great though

Thanks for the feedback, I edited it so there is a back up payment.

Thanks for the feedback, I added a back up payment and a higher percentage. I don’t think they’ll have to re-script a lot but maybe 1 or 2 things might have to be revised.
