About The Job

We are looking for a professional builder, programmers, GFX, UI and composers to join our team. We expect high quality builds that adhere to our game’s style which we will be discussing after the signed contract. Good communication skills are appreciated; we check team progress daily and want to maintain a healthy relationship with one another. To apply, you can send me an application through Roblox DevForum with the style and example of your work and just some basic thoughts and ideas you can bring to the studio.

Details of the game and phases will be planned and discussed.

Payment

As this is a Studio open for commission, the action of paying the develops is very important. Here a few things to recognize this payment policy:

1

All payments are based on the income of the games and purchased merchandise from the games.

2

The action of scamming or false reporting because of untrue statements on payments is not allowed and will be reflected the Roblox staff.

3

All payments are paid by group revenues. This also means that all games must be owned by the group or published under the group’s name.

4

If the hired developer is not working efficiently or effectively and not catching up to the schedule repeatedly, he/she ā€˜s payment after the game is published will be reduced.

As all payments are managed by the group founds, below are the logistics of the actual transaction. (Payment may change according to how much work is done.)

GameDev Team

Consisting of 2 members (1 programmers/builder and 1 modeler) will receive 50% of the game revenue. Each individual will receive 25% of that revenue.

Art Team

The Art Team consisting of 1 members (1 GFX and UI designer, managing ads and decoration) will receive 20% of the revenue and each individual will receive 20% of the revenue.

SoundTeam

The Sound Team consists of 1 members ( 1 in-game sound designers) who will receive 20% of the revenue and each individual gets 20% of the revenue.

The rest 10% will be split as 10% will go to the Director. The last 10% will be stored in the group for further uses or for emergency uses.

I think you should reconsider your prices. No professional scripter will join your team at only 10% revenue.

mmm, true, I will drop the team number down and raise the payment. There I dropped it down. Now it should be pretty reasonable, thanks for the suggestion.

Alright, I send a request on Discord

True because in the long run you are going to have to give a bigger percentage although a high one time payment is also a bit easier in terms of your group I believe personally.

Making artists and sound design roles based off of percentage and not commission puts me off from wanting to jump onboard. 20% for scripting is a very low point considering you are only bringing a single scripter onto the project

I wanna take a second and just respond to this, because I see it a lot. I’m a composer myself, though not for this project, but I barely make anything off commissions. Most of my income is off of royalties on the music I make. The reason is because most people can’t afford to directly commission pieces.

Essentially, it actually makes a composer’s income more stable to have a recurring royalty on the pieces.

The composer I work with charges $400-500 or more for commissions, and they charge it this low because they are a good friend of mine.

What I am angling towards is that a project with no secondary income (a ā€œbreakoutā€ project) cannot afford an independant composer.

But the problem is I cannot raise it any higher as all the income depends on the outcome and the revenue of the game.
