Cloth Simulation Water Test

I created water using a cloth simulation somehow, but I guess it works, cloth simulations don’t take hours to render unlike water simulations.

I was testing water for a render I was going to make about the Normandy landings, so I guess this can work.

This is what I used to make the water look as it is, as well as adding a cloth simulation while the cube sits on another collision block.

I would probably add more subdivisions for a main render so the water looks more “realistic”.

The “boat” is just a cube mesh with a brick texture so it doesn’t look as plain. The water looks really plasticy right now so by the time I use this technique for my render(s) hopefully it looks more glossy. (As I make this topic I realize that adding a ton of specular, sheen, and clearcoat makes the water glossier, so I guess I’ll be using that as well).

You can give feedback on this quick cloth simulation water if you want.
