General Rules🍵

General Rules

We want all our customers to have a great time, it is our top priority!

Followed by that, we still want our customers to follow some simple rules. Keep in mind that if you break these, you will get 3 warnings, followed with a kick/demotion if you continue. Major offences will be an automatic ban. (This is for staff too)

  • Be respectful to everyone, simple as that, if you disrespect anyone you will be banned.

  • Do not be racist or say any vulgar comments, we will instantly ban you as we don’t support discrimination of ANY kind, we do not tolerate it.

  • Do not bypass the filter, you will be instantly banned.

  • Do not troll overall, you will get 3 warnings, then a kick, if you are trolling consistently you will be banned. Trolling is only considered when you are bothering someone. If not, it won’t be considered.

  • Grammar and punctuation is only required in the Staff area. We like to be flexible, so any type of acronyms (I.e. Ty, LOL) are completely fine.

  • Caps are allowed to be used. Enthusiasm is totally fine. It is not allowed for spamming.

  • Assuming someone’s pronouns isn’t allowed. As it is not a banning offence, we still need mainly from all staff to refer our customers with the they/them pronoun. Words such as sir and ma’am/ Madame/ miss are not necessary. Any MRs/HRs in attendance witness you doing otherwise, you will be notified about this rule after you have completed the order. If you continue after a warning, you may be demoted.

MR Training Guide📋

MR Training Guide

This is only for MR’s, you may read this but please note it is unnecessary for Customers/Baristas

Welcome to Cloudy Cafe’s Training Guide! This will explain what to do at training sessions, let’s start.

RULES (HOST)

We will now be reading the rules, please remain seated until we finish reading them.

  • Do not disrespect your trainer, this will result in a demotion after a warning.

  • Please use grammar, if you fail to use grammar you will be demoted after 2 warnings.

  • If you fail, do not be disrespectful to your trainer, instead, ask nicely why you failed.

  • For Trainee’s, you need 2/5 drinks right, For Junior Barista’s, you need 4/5 drinks right and for Barista’s you need all drinks right.

  • For Trainee’s, you need 1/3 trivia questions right, for Junior Barista’s, it’s 2/3 and for Barista’s it’s 3/3.

We have now concluded the rules, please stay on the lines until you are teleported.

Once all of your trainees have teleported to you, you may introduce yourself and repeat the point requirements for each rank.

-GREETINGS

You will give your trainees an example of basic greeting. Let them know it should not be that long and easy for the customer to understand. Give them 1 minute to write or copy and paste their greetings before going up to each of them. When going to each of them, they must state their greeting. IF their greeting has 3 grammatical errors or more, they do not receive the point. If it is incomplete, they do not receive a point.

SECTION IS WORTH 1 POINT

- DRINKS

For the drink section, you will have to call out TWO drinks, they will each be worth half a point (.5)

Keep track of the players’ scores as you progress. Let them know they could use the handbook or the recipe signs on top of the drinks station.

They should be able to have a couple of seconds to write down or read and remember the order.

Remember, Trainee’s need 3/5, Junior Barista’s need 4/5 and Barista’s need all of them right.

Keep in mind this score is not overall, and is only for the drinks section.

SECTION IS WORTH 1 POINT. TWO DRINKS ARE GIVEN AND EACH IS WORTH .50

- TRIVIA

Trivia is pretty simple, give the trainees 4 of the group questions IN PRIVATE MESSAGE (provided in a separate document given to eligible ranks).

Remember that Trainee’s need 1/3, Junior Barista’s need 2/3 and Barista’s need 3/3 total points in order to pass.

You CANNOT resend a private message to a trainee if they misclicked, please let them know beforehand that they have to be careful not to.

EACH QUESTION IS WORTH .5 POINT

-GRAMMAR

The Grammar section are 4 PRIVATE MESSAGES given to your group of trainees for them to correct each sentence.

MRs who are training should have their own guide with a list of sentences to give them (They should be more than four just so that they aren’t predictable).

Please remind them that they are to be correcting the sentences and not responding to them.

They can write an answer that has a couple of different words, as long as it means the same thing.

You CANNOT resend a private message to a trainee if they misclicked, please let them know beforehand that they have to be careful not to.

EACH QUESTION IS WORTH .5 POINT

-TROLLING

You will be dressing up as a typical troller, and roleplay a scenario with your trainees. They must warn you 3 times (you have to tell them the format beforehand),

- AFTER TRAINING -

After training, check if all staff have been promoted correctly, check all chatlogs, logs and utilitylogs in case of a wrong promotion.

If the person you are training has the correct amount of points according to their rank, they should be promoted at this time.

Ask who is attending the next training, so you can already plan the next training.

After a bit of optional gossiping/chatting, the host will have to shutdown the server, hence making the training CONCLUDED!

Senior Barista Promotion Guide🎉

Senior Barista Promotion

The Senior Barista job is given to staff members who have been able to know a lot about Cloudy Cafe’s staff area. This rank can be obtained through a promotion or by attending a training. The next rank they should be looking forward to is Training Assistant. Training Assistants participate in a 2 week internship, including assisting in training, supervising the cafe, continuing to help staff members, assisting others with any questions or concerns they may have, and may be a Trainer if there is availability in spots. You can apply to become one (if you are a Senior Barista) when MR applications open at random times, and the limit to promote a Senior Barista is 10.

Requirements

You must have the following requirements to be able to apply:

  • Account is over 5 months old
  • Cannot have safe chat. This is because of the limited things you can say, such as numbers by itself, and the age being younger than what some websites will allow users to be.
  • Must have a lot of experience with working at Cloudy Cafe
  • You must be a leadership example to our LRs by assisting them with any questions and doing your job as a Barista the best way possible
  • Must be active on the Roblox Platform
  • Recommended by Management+
  • Must not have received more than one warning. If the warning is something that is not major (ex. Grammar), then you are still eligible.
  • Must be on DevForum. This way we can communicate with you in a more professional way and we also know if you don’t have safe chat.
  • Cannot hint. Even if it is minor, constantly giving minor hints will be considered as a major hint, which can decrease your chances of being ranked.
  • Must be active in the group and game. You can be active for a small amount of time, which can be great if you plan on doing that each day. You don’t have to be on for a very long time, this isn’t beneficial as there is a low chance of not being in game for a consistent amount of days.

Congratulations! We can’t wait to start working with you. If you were promoted, you will be receiving a private message from your instructor. Here are some jobs you will be completing when your instructor tells you to do so.

  • Supervising the cafe for 1 hour 3 times, each of the 2 weeks (with proof of screenshots, videos, and interactions with others).
  • Attending at least 2 training sessions per week.
  • Creating your own Training Guide.
  • Participating in at least 1 shift per week.
