Greetings CRES Employees,

It’s my goal to ensure you that this school year we are hiring committed, professional, and active individuals to be employed at our school. At Coastal Regional Elementary School, we hold our employees to high standards as we want to ensure we are looking presentable at all times during any situation. Throughout the duration of the school year, we want to teach our employees how to build connections with other employees and remain confident.

Our school is different from other schools on the platform. We create a realistic but challenging environment for our employees. Although every year may be challenging we always work on having fun as a team. We want to make sure our employees are avoiding resignations as it creates a good outlook for Coastal Regional Elementary School. Keep your confidence, maintain positive energy, and have fun.

Building connections with our employees is our number one goal as this will push us to be successful through this academic year as a team. I also want to make sure employees are having fun out of office hours by playing games, engaging with students and so much more!

Employees are required to follow all policies at all times. This handbook was designed so all employees will have a successful career here at Coastal Regional Elementary School. All expectations are to be followed at all times and there will never be a time where an employee is to not follow them.

Employment Regulations

Throughout your employment here at Coastal Regional Elementary School’s we kindly ask that you follow these simple rules.

- While working at Coastal Regional Elementary School, we will not tolerate any staff member being disrespectful toward fellow staff members or customers.

- While working at Coastal Regional Elementary School, we will not tolerate any staff member using slurs or curse words.

- While working at Coastal Regional Elementary School, bully or discrimination of any form will result in automatic termination of your employment.

- While working at Coastal Regional Elementary School, maintain your best grammar while dealing with tickets.

- While working at Coastal Regional Elementary School, you must remain professional while dealing with tickets.

- While working at Coastal Regional Elementary School, please don’t work for any other schools.

Employment Terminations

If an employee is terminated from employment it means he/she has violated many rules.

If terminated for a minor reason he/she is able to return within the next 30 days of termination.
If terminated for a major reason he/she will be blacklisted without appeal and will no longer be able to apply within Coastal Regional Elementary School again. Also, he/she will no longer be able to be in the Coastal Regional Elementary School Communications Server and will be Banned from all Coastal Regional Elementary School facilities.

Employees will always receive a conference with the Employment Director before the termination procedure is followed. The following consequences will be assigned to the employee depending on the offense:

Verbal Warning
Strike
Demotion
Termination

Professional Development

Professional developments will be held 4 times each month including the summer school portion of the year. The professional development will be for all school faculty and staff personnel. The primary focus of professional development is predominantly to meet the school improvement requirements. Staff members will be able to be engaged in workshops and training that will help the school itself improve. For professional development, instructional personnel will focus on instructional improvements, student needs, school improvements. Professional development for non-instructional personnel is designed to focus primarily on employee skill development.

Lesson Plans

Coastal Regional Elementary School requires professional lesson plans for each subject. We require each lesson plan to cover each day of the following week. Send your plans to the #lesson-plans every Saturday!

Please make sure to make your lesson plans based on this curriculum. Any lesson plan that has not been made off the curriculum will be rejected and you will have to do it again. You must use the lesson plan template provided by CRES. In this curriculum, we will give you all the Chapters for the year. You are responsible for doing the research that is related to the title of the Chapter provided. All assignments and tests must be based on the curriculum as well. Each Chapter shall have a test at the end.

Employment Dress Code

Please refer to the list below for things you can wear:
- Casual button-down shirt or a school polo
- Dress shirt with or without a tie
- Dress slacks or khakis
- Jeans
- Sweatpants
- Short-cuts/wave
- High tops with fade
- Low tops with fade
- Dreads with fade
- Earrings
- Straight/Wavy Hair
- Sitting Pony Tail
- Straight/Wavy short hair
- Ears
-Glasses
- Lanyards

Please refer to the list below for things you can’t wear:
- Any ripped or non-age-appropriate clothing
- Head-coverings
- Bras
- Tank Tops/T-Shirts
- Fishnets
- Any shirt with an inappropriate image/saying

Misbehaving Student Guidelines

If a student is causing a disruption of any kind within the learning environment, the instructional staff must follow the following procedure.

- Issue a warning to the student
- Removal from Classroom, Referral

Based on the student’s Discipline Records, the following approach will be followed for the student:

- Warning
- In-School Suspension
- Short - Term Suspension (1 - 5 Day Temporary Ban)
- Long-Term Suspension (4-20 Day Temporary Ban)
- Behavioral Education Placement
- Expelled (Permanent Ban)

Once a student is expelled from Coastal Regional Elementary School they are no longer allowed to attend school sessions, events, games, or school-sponsored events. If you notice a student is expelled and was seen on campus, or games notify the leadership team!

Coastal Regional Elementary School Leave Of Absences

Coastal Regional Elementary School allows all staff members to go on a leave of absence in the case they’re going through a hard time: family, personal issues (mental or physical), drama, school, and etc.

However, Coastal Regional Elementary School must limit these absences in-order to maintain activity within its communications server and school sessions. If any staff member needs to go on leave, they must follow the format stated and put the correct information. If you’re going on leave, you can go on a minimum leave of 3 days and a maximum of 1 month.
