When I post this announcement, it says “Something went wrong. Please try again later,” and it did not send me a notification that I had posted despite checking the “Notify All Members” box.
Expected behavior
I expect to get a notification on my phone that I posted an announcement, like I always do.
I expect the post to get interactions, like they always do.
I believe Roblox is not sending any notifications to any of my group members.
Hello @Bmrgunner, are you able to share the network error you’re receiving, from your browser’s Network tab? Is this error happening consistently when you try to post your announcement? If so can you also share a link to your community?
Can you provide a group ID where this is happening?
If you get an error when attempting to post - the announcement is not created so no notification will be sent. These are 2 distinct issues.
Notifications are also throttled at both the group-level and user-level. Groups may only initiate 1 push notification per day. Users may only receive X push notifications per-day across all groups. So it is not guaranteed in all cases that every user will receive a push notification. However, all users should still an in-app stream notification. It would be helpful to know if only push notifications are being missed or stream ones also.
