Completely Locked Out Of My Account By Security Notification (Email Unlinked And Account Impossible To Recover Via Recovery Methods)

Hi, just wanted to make another bug report about this since the last one i made was confusing and was in the wrong category, i’ll explain what exactly happened.

So a few months ago, i was playing an experience called tower battles: battlefront at december 4 2025 on my account Scapered88, a few minutes when the match was over, i left the experience, and suddenly i’ve been signed out, i tried to log into the account back and i’ve been hit with this security notification telling me to send the email that was verified on the account to the prompt so i can reset my password


i’ve sent them the email i verified the account on and the code from said email to that prompt, all of the accounts i’ve verified years ago showed up in the section but the one i’m trying to recover (Scapered88) didn’t appear in the section..

This is probably the strangest bug i’ve found in a while, because i remember verifying the account on my email, i even activated the 2-step verification on the account, nobody logged into the account, the security notification just appeared on the account randomly, i’m not sure if it was such a neccesary action that a security notification had to automatically pop up in my account and remove the email connected to the account while i was playing and having fun, now heres the most awkward moment when i’ve tried to contact their support team for help.
I’ve contacted roblox support about this issue, i’ve been sent to an AI assistant, i told them to send me to customer service. i’ve told them about my issue with the account getting locked. and i’ve been sent an automated message by them, i was told that they didnt get enough information on the account and they did not want to assist with me further regarding that inquiry despite me sending evidence of my account ownership. i’ve opened another support ticket, and they kept saying the same old automated message, i replied to them asking if there was any email connected to the account, the next day they replied me with “we’ve checked all the available options to see if we could proceed with your request. but we’re unable to provide you with any further information regarding this inquiry.” they didn’t even answer my question, they just told me something i didnt even wanna know about.



These past few weeks i was stressed and could barely play roblox since Scapered88, the account i lost by security notification and email removal was my main, sent them another ticket and yet again the same automated message, without this account of mine, i can just no longer play roblox. i kept trying to log into the account to see if the security notification is finally removed from the account, but no, it’s just staying there permanently leaving my whole progress in that account divided by 0. plus having my ownership verification be told to be “not enough information” by the support.

I’m really tired of seeing roblox use it’s anti-user features towards their users, such as their annoying ban waves that thankfully enough not any of my accounts were affected by it, this “Security” Notification issue that has affected me and many other people over the years, and their AI support lacking improvements and assuming i lack account information when in fact they don’t really bother checking account history, this is a very frustating experience and getting this issue solved once and for all will be highly appreciated

Expected behavior

That the email should stay connected to the account still.
I should be able to access the account like normal.
The Security Notification should reset the password, not remove any email from the account.

Actual Behavior

The security notification did not reset my password, instead it removed my email, completely removing my ownership evidence. and getting my account lost forever.

Steps To Reproduce

Log into your Roblox account using your username and password and then put the account’s email into the Security Notification prompt to receive a password reset link. (If you had previously linked and verified an email to your roblox account)

What I’ve Sent In The Private Message

I’ve sent a couple of images as an evidence of my ownership of Scapered88 in a private message. such as email code images, email verification images, account location, etc, if any staff member is reading this, make sure you also check the private message.

This happened to me months ago as well (I might even have been the first person to report this issue as a bug on DevForum) for one of my alt accounts. Whatever is happening behind the scenes, once you get the “Security Notification,” there is no way to recover your account since the email on the account is literally removed, and Roblox Support either cannot see it in their records or refuses to help.

I went back and forth with support and they were of no help at all. It was a hell of an experience. (An engineer sent me a private message to reconnect the email to my account, and that’s how I was able to regain access. But after a certain period, that account completely glitched. Its DevEx was entirely broken, so we had to stop using it. Recovering it is basically impossible unless someone from the higher-ups intervenes…)

There had been suspicious activity on the account, VPN-connected partners logging in from different locations, so the account could easily be flagged as “stolen” on their end. But if you are taking measures to secure the account, at least offer a way to recover it (which they apparently do, but it doesn’t actually function), because the credentials needed to regain the account are completely removed.

yeah. it’s very sad to see roblox use it’s anti-user features towards its players accounts no matter the value of them. i don’t even know if they’re doing stuff like these on purpose. but im hoping i get my account unlocked. because this is pretty frustating (not to mention it’s been a whole week since i posted my issue and i’m still having this.)

i think i remember using vpn a week before the account got locked, i wasn’t aware it could cause this, the reason i used vpn in the account was because i kept getting error code 2 whenever i joined a game in the account, i think i might regret a lot for using vpn inside that account.

well in any case thank you so much for trying to help me out on this, hoping @ttaahw or any staff member gets a higher team to recover my account. it is highly appreciated.

I highly appreciate it, i hope i get my very own account back to me and I HOPE this whole security notification issue that has been going on for months gets fixed.

Dude, you were the only staff to help me with this, i’ve pinged many staff members for help but they all decided to ignore me. By the way no need to say sorry for the inconvenience, it’s all good!

Thanks for getting an engineer to intervene and look into my issue, this security notification issue is not really talked about anymore.

But i’m very glad you had to assign an engineer to investigate this and try to get my account unlocked. words cannot express how thankful i am, if any updates, you can follow up by replying to me, i dont know how many days it will take for the solution.
