I posted this already in general platform help. I’m not sure about this forum’s reposting policy, but I was getting zero traction and I’m hoping putting it here will get more attention.
As stated in the original thread, I have a Mac with an Apple M1 chip. Every other device in my household, whether it’s my account or not, works completely fine. Also, every Roblox feature except for games works fine. Here are some screenshots of what it looks like to try and join a game.
Expected behavior
Roblox should be working normally by now, as according to Google and several other forum posts, error 529 is usually a security error on Roblox’s end that’s resolved in a few days. This however has been going on for well over a month now.
It’s supposedly due to “stale” security files since I didn’t open the Roblox app or website for 3 weeks, which caused Roblox’s AI to incorrectly flag me as a malicious bot.
Supposedly, all that needs to be done to fix this problem is to have Roblox engineers remove to incorrect flag, but I’m not entirely sure.
This is slightly proven by how flushing DNS and getting a new DCHP before restarting my Mac will cause Roblox to briefly work.
