Copying a model with many parts from one place to another causes the parts to distort

I have a car with many different C-Framed parts in one place. When I copy and paste it into a second place, the parts come out distorted. I don’t know if this is a bug or if I’m doing something wrong. If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know.

How far from the origin are you trying to paste the car? If you’re like 10,000 studs away from (0,0,0) then you might have problems due to floating-point inaccuracies.

Location was: 229.373, 61.998, -3686.99

This has been reported before too. I’ve been having issues with it myself.

Temporary fix (maybe)

  • copy it from Place 1
  • paste it into Place 2’s ServerStorage
  • game.Selection:Get()[1].Parent = workspace

Do you have more specific repro steps? I’m having a hard time understanding what’s going on.
