Copying posed skinned mesh character for display in viewport frame

I am trying to copy my character (which contains skinned mesh parts) so I can store it and copy it into a viewport frame. Whenever I ctrl + D or copy and paste my character, the animations stop and the model T-poses. I need the model to remain posed so I can freeze it in position and show it in a viewport frame.

Playing the animation in the viewportframe is not an option.

What is the correct way to do this?

Have you tried anchoring the parts before copying them (assuming that it’s using Motor6Ds instead of bones)?

Interesting, I did exactly this last night and it didn’t work, but this time it did. This is what I usually do (Anchor on server, Ctrl+D). Must have missed something last night then.
Thanks!
