Copyright and Music?

In my latest game idea, I plan to include a diverse soundtrack. One big issue with this is that I’m sourcing music that is most likely copyrighted, I’ve been on the platform for many years since around 2017 and music on roblox is a iffy topic, I know ever since 2022 all copyrighted music was removed, but I still see many creators contain music like this.

So my question is:

  1. Can you include copyrighted music in your game?
  2. If permission is granted by the artist, can you include that music?
  3. Does giving credit help lessen your chances for a removal when adding music?

To elaborate what i mean is i know some game tracks like sonic or undertale allow users to use there music in games, which is what i sorta mean in question 2.

  2. Yes but its tricky. They need to actually publicly give you permission, it can’t just be a screenshot of a yes in a DM.
  3. It does not, it still violates international copyright law.
