As part of the Guilded sunset, we have moved the Announcements creation flow into Roblox so you can communicate with your communities in a simpler and more streamlined way, all in one place. If you are using the Guilded integration to post Announcements, please note that it will be shut down and no longer available as of December 19, 2025.

Select Create Announcement
Add your title, content, and optional hero image
Publish to share it with your community

What happens to Shouts?
Once you post your first Announcement, Shouts will be removed from your Community page. Shouts will remain available for Communities that have not yet used Announcements, but will be phased out February 27th 2026.
Will I still be able to see a page of all my past Announcements?
On December 19, we will be shutting down the Guilded announcement channels and the Guilded platform. At this time, we do not have plans to provide a similar historical announcements view within Roblox Communities. We’re always listening! If this feature is important for your community, please share your feedback in the comments section to help us prioritize future updates.
If you would like a historical record of your past announcements, server owners can use the Guilded content export tool to download historical server data before the shutdown.
Are Announcements moderated?
Yes. To keep content safe for all ages, every Announcement is reviewed through Roblox’s safety systems before it appears in your Community.
Honestly, I’m surprised you didn’t give players the option in the first place instead of forcing Guilded. This was a long-overdue change, and I’m glad to finally see it happen. I do think you should expand the shouts feature by adding things like polls, native event links, and game linking.
Happy I won’t have to go to Guilded anymore to do this, and fight with the syncing process that happened behind the scenes. Sometimes I would get stuck trying to make an edit and the filter silently not syncing it on me. This will be much more streamlined.
At this time, we do not have plans to provide a similar historical announcements view within Roblox Communities.
I don’t think this is okay, having a player-facing historical overview of all of the past announcements for a community is important because it gives the player an idea of how often that community posts major announcements (i.e. game updates/events), what kind of content they contain, and the vibe of those communications, which allows them to judge whether they want to get involved with that community or if it is valuable to them.
Also, currently there is no other way to create communications on Roblox that feature a prominent hero image. On the game details page, there is a limited number of thumbnails that can be shown. It’s important to preserve this personality somewhere persistent for the player to see.
Integrating directly into communities is huge. Such a major step up from old group shouts too.
An announcement feed or channel would be a wonderful feature to have. Something like that could be very beneficial for community members that may have missed previous announcements and would allow them to catch up on what they have missed.
I really love the Community Announcements feature and I am super glad that we can make these without having a Guilded Server!
I would love to see support for more embedded Marketplace items in the future. Currently, only one linked item will be embedded at a time. I would use this feature a lot more if we could embed 5-6 items at the same time.
I have a question directly to guilded features: will several features from guilded be integraded to Roblox communities, like blogs? If yes, what feature will be integrated next?
but, this is one of the updates i kinda like but I am sad to say goodbye to group shouts when they are getting replaced with announcements, tho it’s almost the same with just a better design and you can insert images to it.
Would be cool to see more guilded features being integrated to roblox groups.
Note that this does not work on mobile, only desktop. I managed my stuff from my phone, only a little work to log in with 2FA and all that, but it’s good to note.
Two suggestions I would like to see (if they’re not included already ?):
Ability to embed an event link so we can make the announcement → event signup process even more seamless for the user.
Ability to embed a game link which would show a play button, and an ability to see how much traffic comes from an announcement (players clicking the play button from the announcement.) in analytics as an acquisition source.
I like this much better than Guilded - felt a bit strange having to make an announcement externally, and seems much better than shouts.
Edit: And polls! I think anything with a call to action on the player’s part would be great for engagement. Polls would also be a fantastic addition I’d love to see. For voting on future content updates, favorite aspect of a game, etc.
edit: they told me in the Guilded main server that exporting webhook info isn’t allowed. Kinda an odd limitation given that I can just highlight, copy, and paste the contents into a txt file and format it myself with such ease.
I am happy that we are getting an alternative to Guilded announcements now that Guilded is shutting down. It would be really helpful for players to be able to see announcement history though, because players aren’t always checking communities and there should be a way for them to catch up on things they’ve missed.
Also, the 1,000 character limit is extremely limiting. I liked being able to post long messages about upcoming updates, changes, and news, and the limit does not allow for me to do that anymore.
It is a little frustrating when old features are removed and replaced with an alternative with less features than before.
