Creating a systematic, Akinator like function that stores and refers to data - where to start?

I am curious as to if creating a survey that would automatically generate responses is within the limits of Lua / Roblox Studio.

What I’m looking for:

  • An individual is approached with 10-or-so questions
  • At the end of the survey, an auto-generated response is shown to the player in relation to the player’s choices

Similar to Akinator, where a term will be revealed after being asked multiple questions. Any insight (wether it’d be describing how to do this or if it’s even possible) regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated.

If you are not clear about what I am trying to achieve, you can contact me for additional information. I will also leave a poll here so I can gather clean and simple responses as to what I am trying to achieve:

  • This is possible
  • This is not possible
  • None (please elaborate in comments)

0 voters

Keep in mind I’d appreciate any response; wether it’s speculation or fact.

If you want a Akinator style with only 10 questions, that’s defiantly possible. Akinator just stores your responses than see’s the entry with the most shares shared responses, it might take some tinkering, but you could defiantly do that.

This could be done by having a ton of tables with different final responses, and then narrowing down those responses based on the player’s choices, if you are indeed using multiple choice questions like I assume you are.
