Crystalize - Operations Handbook

Intro

Congratulations on becoming apart of the Operations Department! We are very ecstatic and exhilarated to see what you can bring to Crystalize. As a member of our Operations Department, it is important to remember that you are one of the most important figures in our community!

Your job as apart of the Operations Department is to help conduct events within our community, and ensure that all operations are running very smoothly. You must ensure that Crystalize is up to it’s best, and ensuring that all operations are done correctly.

This handbook will be a quick overview on how you conduct events. Any questions shall be directed to the Vice President of Operations.

CONDUCTING AN EVENT

As a member of the Operations Department here at Crystalize, you are required to conduct events. These events have to be community-based events, where the whole community can come and join. To first conduct an event, you must go to #operations-discussion and bring an event idea up. If the other members in the Operations Department agree to host an event, you are ready to go onto stage 1.

STAGE 1 - BRAINSTORMING AN EVENT

Make sure to brainstorm an event! If you are in need of ideas, it is suggested that you speak with the rest of the Operations Department. Make sure that the idea is appropriate, and ensure that it will be fun for our community to participate in.

STAGE 2 - PRESENT YOUR IDEA

Present your idea to the Operations Department, and see if they like it! If they like it, we will be able to move onto stage 3. If for whatever reason, they dislike the idea, talk it out with them, and see what ideas they have!

STAGE 3 - DESCRIBE THE EVENT

You will now need to describe the event! You will need to make sure to see if the event will have any prizes or awards, where the event will take place, the time and date of the event, and much more. Make sure to do this stage with the whole department, as we would love to hear their ideas for the event. Once you have come to a conclusion on what you are interested in doing for the event, you are now able to add the event idea to the trello board. After you have done that stage, you are now able to go to stage 4!

STAGE 4 - ANNOUNCING THE EVENT

You are now required to announce the event! Make sure to describe the event, and add key points to your announcement, of when it will be taking place, description of the event, and much more. If you are in need of help during this stage, do not fret to ask any other member in the Operations Department for help.

STAGE 5 - CONDUCTING THE EVENT

You are now at the list stage, conducting the event. Whilst conducting the event, whether it is a karaoke night, or Roblox game, make sure it is a fun environment for all! Ensure that there are people from the department who are actively moderating the event to ensure the event goes very smoothly.

TYPES OF EVENTS

Gamenight

A gamenight would comprise of obtaining a private server from any Roblox diversion. These will be regularly as it were be a one-day action enduring around 20 minutes - an hour at a time.

Event

An occasion can comprise of facilitating games/contests at the kitchen, a karaoke night, a motion picture night, and numerous more. These are as a rule one - three day exercises depending on the event.

National Day Events/Announcements

A national day occasion would comprise of facilitating any sort of occasion in celebration of an international/national day. This must be an official day checked on the national day calendar. It can moreover fair be an declaration made on the day on the off chance that nothing is to be hosted.

Week-Long

These more often than not comprise of soul weeks and other week-long exercises. It’ll be declared with a plan in honor of the occasion. Any sort of event/gamenight can be facilitated inside the schedule.
