Hey all, I’ve been working on this map for a Project I’ve been working on called Adventure Lands that’s planned to release in 2021, and I figured hey, I should show this off on the Developer Forums! So here we are, the overall development took me close to three months due to some IRL things that occured but when I got back into the hotseat I was able to finish it super quickly in about 3-4 Hours. So here we are!!
Wow a great natural map, but I see some trees leaning the wrong way around and the color of big trees to a darker shade makes them better looking, try fixing that and the map will be look more realistic. Hope this helped.
Most of it is just the angle of the camera, it makes a lot of the work look wonky at some areas haha. But yeah, I totally get what you mean. Plus, Sadly, This area will not be a playable area, this whole area is just for one cinematic shot.
Well, It’s a road for a vehicle, Usually, I feel that you’d want a road to be straight like that. This area is made to look very well maintained structure wise. There’s a lot of information I wish I could give to back this up but I can’t at the moment due to not being released yet
consider making the road a bit darker and the grass a bit lighter, adds to the contrast , maybe set the lighting to shadowmap or above it will look gr8 with this map
in other ways this map looks Amazing.
maybe the grass(meshes) could use a bit of a scaling and its color could be a bit more towards the top of the greyscale; same thing for the trees
(sorry if im giving too much lighting advice cant help it been going around fixing lighting/color in too many games)
The goal of this place is to make it look pop out and look super lush and nice, I feel that giving it any sort of greyscale would in the end ruin the goal we have set for this place.
I meant like the bar on the side while setting the color, basically a bit more brighter ig?? not making it grey (my bad i didnt know what to call it and im sleepy so…)
