Custom Backpack Recommendations

Currently working on a tool (smartphone) that uses an equip, idle and unequip animation. Phone is connected to the right hand via Motor6D (Tool6D to be more specific). The unequip animation plays for the character however the default backpack system instantly deletes the model of the tool upon unequiping the tool, leaving just the character putting an imaginary phone in his pocket.

First way I thought of getting around this is a custom backpack module, I’m going to have to create this at some point for the game for a weapon wheel anyways.

To keep it sort, basically looking for any help or pointers with recreating the phone model to fix my unequip animation, got a feeling this will involve remaking a backpack system so any help with doing that would also be greatly appriciated.

Have you tried cloning the phone whenever you unequip it and leaving it for the rest of the animation?

Not yet, haven’t have much time recently. Would this let the animation on the phone still play? I animated the handle in Moon Animator

You would have to attach the ghost phone to whatever is used to animate the handle.
