Dark lores, are they allowed?

So, In my game, I want to have a dark lore, but I honestly don’t know if this even is allowed in Roblox, my lore will include: a person that kills family members (kinda like fnaf Willam Afton), war, medum levels of gore (such as execution, or servering heads), and a serial killer who kills people (including children). Please tell me if these things are allowed in Roblox, I’m pretty sure they are, but I don’t want kids under 13 playing this game.

The other stuff probably isn’t allowed, but Roblox certainly don’t allow decapitation on the platform. I’ve pasted the relevant section of the ToS below so you can compare it with what you want to add to your game.

so everything else would be allowed? And would stabbing work instead of decapatation? (ive seen from rogue lineage, it has stabbing)

Yeah, but there’s really no way for you to stop <13s from playing your game…

Stabbing is likely fine - you just can’t be excessive with blood and gore. If there’s no blood whatsoever there shouldn’t be any problems.

I don’t know how gory or realistic you want the rest to be - that’s why I posted the section from the TOS, so you can decide for yourself. Just keep in mind that the content you’re going to display can be viewed by young children, and therefore it must be appropriate.

I am going to make this a robux game, to prevent some young children (since most parents dont buy young children robux, at least from my experience)

Hey, I got 400 robux per 3 months when I was 6, but still, there is NO way you could prevent young children.

This won’t make any difference - if it’s possible for young children to play your game then you must assume they will, so your game needs to be appropriate for that audience else Roblox won’t hesitate to take it down.

But i have a question for this, there is a game in roblox, named ‘bloody battle’ and it shows a lot of gore (such as decapatation, cutting a body in half, head explosion), and huge amounts of spreading blood

Yeah, there’s also “bloodflow” which was taken down, so the creator made “mortem metallum” which has a gore/blood on and off option.

Yes, i am aware of that, so im only putting violent parts of the lore in text.

But still, that could make some kids and tweens/teens have some ‘scary’ thoughts!

Any other ideas how I can include the lore?

The lore in text SHOULD be allowed, but it could get taken down…

Either that game hasn’t been reported to Roblox or Roblox have already reviewed it and they’ve deemed it to be appropriate; the first of those possibilities is most likely to be true.

You still need to be careful when doing this. If you’re exposing young children to graphic content, whether it be a gameplay feature or in text format, this can still be reported and reviewed by staff.

I’d recommend you take a step back and look at things from a different perspective; you are responsible for the content you upload and share with members of Roblox, which is mostly comprised of young children. You need to reflect the content you want to share against the ToS and you need to make up your own mind whether or not your content would be suitable for the platform. You also shouldn’t look at other games and think ‘if they’ve done … then that means I can do it too’, because this is most definitely not the case with Roblox; you need to be responsible for your own compliance with the ToS instead of using other games to decide what might be acceptable - but also might not be.

okay, thanks for the feedback, the reason i thought

was because they have not been banned yet, and have been around for since quite while.
I’ll be sure to keep the lore down a notch
