DataStore error

My script on the global leaderboard gives an error:

DataStoreService: ValueNotAllowed: double is not allowed in data stores. API: UpdateAsync, Data Store: GlobalLeaderboard_Seconds

Here is the script:

If you’re using an OrderedDataStore you cannot store values like 2.2 or 4.5412 , it has to be a positive integer.

A OrderedDataStore is essentially a GlobalDataStore with the exception that stored values must be positive integers.

Source: Creator Hub

first of all, in your use case you should use DataStore:SetAsync() because you’re not reading the currently stored value.

and as @g_uitarist stated, OrderedDataStores can only store positive integers (numbers that do not have decimals and aren’t negative; like 3, 5, 10, 32832, 85, 20)

Please write a script word word

Convert your number to an integer before storing it:

-- [ SETTINGS ] --

local statsName = "Seconds" -- Your stats name
local maxItems = 50 -- Max number of items to be displayed on the leaderboard
local minValueDisplay = 1 -- Any numbers lower than this will be excluded
local maxValueDisplay = 10e15 -- (10 ^ 15) Any numbers higher than this will be excluded
local abbreviateValue = false -- The displayed number gets abbreviated to make it "human readable"
local updateEvery = 3 -- (in seconds) How often the leaderboard has to update
local headingColor = Color3.fromRGB(25, 181, 254) -- The background color of the heading

-- [ END SETTINGS ] --

I need exactly non-integers, for example: 2.4, 3.463, etc.

You just can’t, OrderedDataStore does not support non-integers.

And what should I do? word word

Use integers, there’s no escape from integers if you’re planning to create a leaderboard.
