Datastore limits cofnusion?

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
    So i got a datastore which saves a models name, CFrame. etc…

  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
    My only issue is that the DataStore limits page is a bit confusing.

The things i dont fully understand are:

  1. How long can a key be

  2. How long can keys in a dictionary be when you save inside a DataStore

  3. How much can a Dictionary save inside a DataStore

  4. How long can a value inside a Dictionary be

Any help is higly appreciated. Because yea the Limit page is a bit confusing to me :confused:

Yes i already know all of that. Its just this section that confused me… it states that “Keys can only contain 50 characters”. But i managed to save a key with 5M characters(For testing) :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

The key itself can only be 50 characters, the value associated with that key can be 4,000,000 characters. The value you stored of 5,000,000 characters was likely truncated down to 4,000,000 characters.

That’s the value not the length of the value. The length of the value is limited to 4,000,000 characters.

Ohh im so dumb. Im so sorry. I dont know what i was thinking :sweat_smile:My bad sorry once again… Its currently 3 Am where i live so it might be because im a bit tired. Sorry once again!
