Hello my wonderful peeps!!

An welcome to our devlog series one of;

DEAD - Z0NE

It is a story-based post-apocalyptic adventure within a collapsed modern-day city overrun by infection, destruction – doing whatever they can just to make it another day.

Throughout the game, players will unlock new weapons, movement abilities, equipment, allies, enemies, an story elements as they progress.

We are drawing a lot of inspiration from dying light, blending with fast paced movement an that gritty survival aswell :')

My goal is to show progess every 2-3 days for this to show its potential!

My team consists currently of;

  • 2 voice actors
  • 1 musician
  • 2 artists
  • 1 modeler
  • 1 animator

A total of 8 memebers – including myself

Originally the project had been put on pause for a few months – as for I was working solo on it, an was busy with exams. Fortunetly my efforts paid off, an I passed with a 4.0. :tada:

Also for the zombies or whatever they are, take some inspiration from this game: Those Who Remain | Play on Roblox because their animations are good (specially when you hit them in the head)

Also yes, I have played it for refrence when I was working on this solo, I am leaning in for more of the ik style though, so every one feels unique rather than each with the same anim :")

Havnt added glory kills for head which would be quite fun to test with!

Adding on to what RonaldoR9 said, the zombies in the game PROJECT APEX | Play on Roblox have amazing animations. (Zombies only in outbreak mode). Mainly just all around this game is amazing :sob:

I am a skilled builder . . . so what how fast I can detail the hell out of this scene.

An for those curious upon seeing the walls.

The entire scene will be differnt an pretained to each user, so it feels more alive an unique

One of them being that the overall look of the world will be differnt;

Ahhh – thank you!

Originally was planned for 3rd person, but gave resident evil vibes :sweat_smile: – so I decided to stick with the good’ol 1st person

Wait, so if multiple people are playing together in a round (I am assuming that would be possible) everyone’s walls would look different?

The core gameplay will be mainly single player – but will include some sections were it requires team based gameplay, like a squad to complete a chapter.

In this case everyone will see the world the same :") (for parts like this only!)

I think that (correct me if I’m wrong I’m just assuming,) that, if it happens the person stood on top of the vent cover like jumps through the vent and falls to where they are in the photo, it should definitely squash a zombie when they land

This is crazy good btw! I really hope one day I can be this good at building, but it’s just really difficult because I can’t use blender properly apart from animation, and I also can’t build in Roblox studio

I saw this idea before in a game called field trip Z, basically, a zombie is walking into your classroom, and there is tense music, and then a police officer shoots the zombie and then just walks over the body

I did not include myself. As for i also do those alongside the scripting myself.

Only thing i dont do is the music an an art.

Havnt touches my piano in over a year an would take about a week for me to learn it again an reconnect my software to it.

Dont get me started on art . . . Havnt drawn since i was 9
