Deceptive UGC being sold on the marketplace - Recurring problem

Deceptive UGC stores, such as Bypassed World, are engaging in deceptive and exploitative practices by selling fake Korblox and Headless accessories that do not function as advertised. These listings use misleading thumbnails designed to trick users into purchasing items that simply hide inside the torso instead of providing the legitimate avatar effects buyers expect. Such behavior directly violates multiple sections of the Roblox Terms of Service, Community Standards, and Commerce Guidelines.

This isn’t the only time these have been reported, infact it had been previously reported in this thread, with the fake animation packs being deleted, yet the group was never closed, and users who collaborated in scamming players have never been moderated.

Next, we have these pairs of “headlesses” which are intentionally designed to trick players into purchasing heads that appear to have invisible or majority non-rendering parts in their thumbnails. In reality, these heads are simply inverted models—the geometry is flipped inside-out, and with strategic thumbnail shading, they look invisible even though they are fully visible in-game.

This tactic is highly deceptive, as most players are misled by the promotional thumbnails into thinking they’re buying a headless effect similar to the official Roblox Headless Horseman package. Instead, they receive a standard head that functions no differently than any default avatar head. This practice constitutes false advertising and scamming, both of which are explicitly prohibited under Roblox’s policies.

Besides these, there are a few other accessories which are specifically bestselling and violate this rule:

Expected behavior

Misleading Thumbnails and False Representation
Roblox explicitly forbids deceptive advertising in the marketplace. By using thumbnails with altered shading, fake expectations & names and camera angles, the groups in this thread manipulate players into believing they’re buying a Headless Head or Korblox when the actual product behaves completely differently.
(Reference: Roblox Terms of Use – Section 6(A))

Violation of Commerce Standards: Fake Functionality
Roblox’s Commerce Standards state that items must accurately represent their purpose and function. These “headless” and “Korblox” assets act as if they are the real product in previews but fail to deliver that appearance in-game, causing users to spend Robux on items that do not perform as advertised.
(Reference: Commerce Standards)

Scamming Through Thumbnail Exploitation
These creators exploit thumbnail rendering tricks by intentionally designing shading to hide the head mesh in previews or configuring the thumbnail on these items as if they were a bundle, effectively luring players into purchases based on a false visual promise. This qualifies as scamming behavior under Roblox Community Standards.

I expect these items and groups/users to be moderated based on their behavior which is against the Terms of Service.

Thank you for addressing this, i have yet to see any moderation action taken against these bad actors despise some of these groups having hundreds of thousands of members and continue to get away with scamming younger users on the platform that dont know better. I really hope something is done about these groups because this behavior is nothing short of unacceptable!

As a fellow UGC creator, items such as these lower the creativity of the platform and undermine the effort of hard-working, talented developers. I fully agree with this post and hope to see proper action applied to the aforementioned bad actors.

the only reason these exist is because half head’s and fake korblox’s exist on the platform, they easily hide in with the others so they can trick easily

Exactly, and these spam items harm the discovery of high quality accessories, which disincentivizes even looking at the marketplace. (and potentially buying something)

Roblox desperately needs to take action against
creators who repeatedly and willfully break the marketplace guidelines (and in some cases, the Community Standards as a whole) as it harms the UGC marketplace for everyone, creators and players alike.

This is a dupe of an open report:

It was also addressed in an older, closed one:

..but since then myself and others have seen pretty much 0 improvement in deletion rates for these items. It’s disappointing, they clearly don’t care about this issue.

Duplicate/ Similar report, for engagement refer to : Deceptive UGC still scamming players
