NOTES
This year’s Halloween update is now out! I kept things small this year since we gotta get a move on with the release update, so for new Halloween content we just have the items. In case you missed last update, the old event stuff comes back automatically now, so all the previous tracks & items have been available since October 1st!
The old items will be going back off-sale soon as November hits, so get them while you still got the chance! All the brand new Halloween items will remain on-sale until November 28th, 2025 however.
ICYMI: Earlier this month we published Side A of the 2nd volume of Train Tracks, the streaming release for Defend The Train’s soundtrack! This contains all of the original songs by Syashikunda starting from the 1st volume up to present day.
I believe Roblox prohibits me from posting the links here, but you can find the album on Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, etc.

Aim Assist & Autofire
New to this update is an important addition for both mobile and console players. For both devices, there is now an aim assist system enabled by default. While enabled, enemy passengers will be given a generous hitbox that’ll automatically redirect shots fired within the hitbox to aim for the head’s current position.
This is mostly to help newer players with playing Gunslinger, as I realized how hard it was to hit things for me or any real life friends I’d have try the game using a controller or on our phones. If you’re already accustom to how things were and don’t want the aim assist, it can be turned off in settings!
Exclusive to mobile is an auto fire system. While using Button firing (the default), hovering over any enemies will make your gun automatically shoot for you. This system accounts for your class and whether the weapon has a damage divider, so Gunslinger primaries for instance will not auto fire at vehicles while Psycho primaries will not auto fire at enemy passengers.
This setting is enabled by default for any new players, but anyone with a Reputation of 10+ will have this disabled by default as I wasn’t sure if it’d come across as annoying for those already accustom to the mobile controls.
I’m sure there’s room for improvements on these features, so please let me know how I did and if you find them to be useful at all!
Wave Completion EXP & Cash/Credit Rates
Another change made primarily to assist new players is an EXP reward for your team completing waves. At the end of each wave, each member of the team will get a small amount of EXP so that more inexperienced teammates who may be unable to keep up with getting kills can still upgrade something.
The starting rates is 400 EXP on Easy, 300 on Normal, and 200 on Hard. Every few waves the bonus will decrease by 100 until there’s nothing left. I’ll be watching to see if this system has any bad implications on balance, so if you have any issues with the bonus be sure to let us know!
Progress Report
What’s next?
To give ourselves a palette cleanser, we’ll be taking a quick RBLXWare detour for around a week just to make an update for that before we continue with Defend The Train. I plan on releasing one more regular update for the game before we enter another (short) drought to work on the release update. This regular update will contain Lieutenant Steels’ “Palach” and the Spire community weapon we’ve had on the backburner for a while.
Unlike Highway, there isn’t as many assets that need to be created for the release update so I don’t expect production to take anywhere near as long. I anticipate that we’ll be done early in the new year.
