Delete UserID from Game Record

Hello, I recently got a message from the Roblox Team asking me to remove a specific user ID from my game (assuming datastore), however I’ve searched the DevForum and no topics fit this issue. They gave me an article about DataStore and GlobalDataStore but I’m not sure how I can remove the userID. I’ve contacted support and they don’t seem to be replying as frequent as I’d expect for this issue.

The title for the message is " [Important] Right to Erasure - Action Requested"

Thanks.

You should use :RemoveAsync() for someting like this.

local mydatastore = game:GetService("DataStoreService"):GetDataStore("mydatastore")
mydatastore:RemoveAsync(*insert userid*)

I don’t know what the “mydatastore” would be though

that would be your datastore key

I don’t use DataStore so I don’t know what they key would be

If you did not store anything from that player you should ignore the message I think. It’s there in case you saved something.

Alright, thank you. I’ll keep any eye out.

Hey there,

As @michialok said using the RemoveAsync() into it.

When he used myDataStore is the ‘key’. For my game

you can delete the persons information, you get the data store and then remove the player’s id.

Feel free to dm me if you have any problems at

Hi, after testing this, it doesn’t delete the key but the data only.
